EmpowerUs began life in NZ after the Phelan's were wiped out in Australia in the GFC. The Phelan's were farmers and property investors, took stock of the physical losses and regained their connection to their spiritual.

Being unaware of the impact of the happenings on the other side of the globe which would affect their family business, they were prompted to begin life again with a newly found awareness.

Through inner work and healing, a new world of acceptance and solutions opened up where an event took place which led to solving a global problem which was originally intended for their family only.

Returning home to Oz 6 years later, EmpowerUs Australia was formed and the business model it would follow pioneers a new reality based upon needs which is not yet widely accepted or understood as it uses inclusivity to reduce and remove the cost of living over the basic needs of housing, electricity, telecoms, transport, food and water while ensuring that each party benefits and no one is left out of the equation.

In the early years the Phelan's attempt to make this business model a charity, we were informed that we were going to help more than 3% of the population so we failed to fit the unwritten rules.

We are now profit-based, which has no category, and our new housing and trading system which are somewhat unconventional, yet have passed all regulatory hurdles and raised eyebrows with what they achieve, yet our supporters are still few and far between.

From humble beginnings the Manaian Way philosophy was born from a vision, and after much work, now underpins each and every system we create.
